The player must then replicate the pattern on the playing surface and figure out the right sequence of moves to shift the obstructing cars and trucks out of the way. Solutions are included on the back of each card.
Rush Hour features four levels of difficulty, allowing players to alternate turns with another player or tackle the challenges alone. The game has received national recognition, including a Mensa award, and is used in elementary school math classes to develop critical skills.
